Have Fun With Toddler Furniture!

Toddler furniture can be so much fun!  You’re baby is not a baby anymore, as his or her preference for “big kid” furniture becomes evident.

When I think of toddler furniture, I think of adult furniture in miniature!  There are plenty of options for todays parents when looking into bedroom furniture for their toddler.

Lots of parents want to go with a theme, just like they did for the nursery.  It’s fun to let your toddler pick a theme and maybe even help pick out their own bedding and accessories for their new big kid room!  Furniture, on the other hand, tends to be the parents choice.

It’s very possible that you have baby furniture that will easily convert to toddler furniture.  Many cribs today convert either to a toddler bed with a headboard, footboard and safety rails, or even a daybed.  If you bought a dresser/changing table combination, it’s likely that the changing table is removeable from the dresser.

If this is the case, and you already have toddler furniture, why not let your kiddo pick out his or her own comfy chair, or buy a  toddler-sized card table and chairs for playing school or doing art projects!  It’s important that your little one feel as if he or she has had a part in the decision making process for the furniture or decor!  It allows them to feel like they’ve made an important decision on how their room will look!

If you have means, decorate your toddlers room with new rugs, lamps, bedding and curtains in a theme that they choose!  This way, if the toddler furniture is already provided, they can still feel as if they’ve made the transition from nursery to big kids room!  A room makeover where you share the decisions can be so much fun with your toddler and their active imagination!
